Glass

About Me
The focus of my art is to capture the moments that shape our world. To grasp the essence of moments, one must acknowledge the full spectrum: transitions, achievements, and obstacles. In using kiln formed glass as a medium, I am able explore the moment through color and technique. And as glass is a more hardy material, this gives the feeling of protecting that moment. But glass can also shatter, giving rise to a new moment to re-fuse and create.
Nature inspires me. Being under the canopy of trees is a moment in itself. The closer I get to nature the more interesting it gets.
I am currently teaching and creating at Cavanaugh Fused Glass Studio. I am able to share what I have learned about glass as well as discover more. In addition to teaching, I enjoy working on commissions. I collaborate closely with my clients, engaging them in the glass exploration process to bring their vision to life.
